Remove the stock fuel cup. This filter directly mounts to the stock pump with the included one way clip. The stock return jet is placed directly over the filter to help keep it saturated during operation.
Wicking filter media is able to draw fuel even when partially covered.
Much larger shape has far more filtering life.
We also recommend to safety wire the pump halves as shown to prevent the other known issue of the pump halves separating.
Once a pump has operated with a clogged filter it usually causes permanent cavitation damage. Replacement of the pump is recommended if this has occurred.
